Social Security Administration
The SSA recently announced that it would provide automatic Economic Impact Payments to Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients. The Treasury Department anticipates these payments to arrive in early May. It’s important to note that recipients who have qualifying children under the age of 17 should not wait and visit the IRS Non-Filers page and enter their payment information.
Internal Revenue Service
Most Economic Impact Payments are being sent automatically and you can learn all about it here. However, if you haven’t filed for 2018 or 2019, you should file your 2019 tax return right away. If you don’t usually have to file a return then you may still qualify to receive a payment once you have provided information to the IRS here.
In Nevada
Governor, Steve Sisolak spoke on the phased reopening of Nevada and stated that the distancing rules have helped to flatten the curve here in Nevada which has allowed for discussion for a phased reopening of businesses. He noted that we are still in Phase Zero and economic recovery was “highly dependent on expanded testing and tracing capacity,” Governor Sisolak further noted that he cannot give a firm date of when Phase One, of opening businesses, would begin.
